First we moved the furniture and the electronics out of the way, and covered them with plastic. Then we removed the speakers and the brackets from the wall. With our work space prepared, we replaced everything with half inch sheet-rock and taped and mudded the drywall with three coats. After we applied the knockdown texture, we patched and sanded all the walls and the woodwork for a smooth, clean surface. Next, we primed the walls and the woodwork and then caulked everything. Of course, we removed all the hardware before painting and applying two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select Flat on the ceilings. Then we applied two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select Semi-Gloss on all of the woodwork. Finally, we applied two coats of Regal Select Eggshell on the walls. To clean up, we removed all the plastic and vacuumed all the rugs. Before we left, we installed the mounted TV, hooked up the entertainment system, put all the furniture back, and re-installed all the hardware. It was almost as if we were never there, except for the beautiful new transformation this homeowner will enjoy for years to come.
